Where this coffee's from

Our first Microlot of the year is from Coopervass, Brazil. Luciana is a rookie coffee farmer who took over her father’s farm when she was 52. Trained as an architect, she had no coffee experience. Nevertheless she has immersed herself in specialty coffee, free to develop her own style of farming and processing. Her curiosity, eye for detail and love for innovation helped her to produce prize- winning coffees three years in a row.  And in a traditional, male- dominated environment the recognition she gets is super important. Luciana takes part in the Green Coffee Project, supporting over 30 farmers in developing sustainable -regenerative- production methods


What you'll taste

This prize-winner was meticulously harvested and processed: hand picked, sun dried during the day and stored at night in perfect volcano- shaped cones for temperature and fermentation control. It’s one of our sweetest coffees with a clear candy store vibe: red lollipop and licorice. But also the freshness of ripe papaya and white wine, making it a complex but balanced coffee with a silkyatin mouthfeel and a lasting taste. We love it!
